I have been trying to call Adobe Customer Support in Australia but my call was declined after waiting for about 30 minutes on the line. VSCO has open-sourced the code for the installer and Keys app. VSCO Keys in El Capitan I use the old purchased version of VSCO Keys (not the free version from Github) on Yosemite. Vsco keys el capitan for free#In August 2015, it was discontinued as a product for purchase, and is now open source and available for free download. I have attached a screenshot to show the discrepancy between what I intend to do in "History" and what is actually happening to my images (Custom WB, Temp 2000, Tint -150). Keys was originally distributed by VSCO in order to give users a speed boost when editing images in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. The other VSCO shortcuts still work fine, hence my confusion.Įvery time I would try to change the white balance using these shortcuts, the change would be shown properly in the editing History, however the WB would suddently change to (Custom WB, Temp 2000, Tint -150). Vsco keys el capitan update#However since the last update (Lightroom 10.1) I am encountering an issue with the "Q", "W", "E" and "R" VSCO shortcuts set to decrease or increase the Tint or Temperature of my images. The company also notes while the current layout editor has been discontinued, users can continue to edit their layouts with a text editor using resources that have been provided in the source. While it does have a target niche for high volume photographers (Events/Wedding/Press) it's not suited towards everyone. Free might get your attention since if you weren’t an avid LR user when it arrived, you might have overlooked it at a cost of 79. It was pretty decent for the folks at VSCO to announce that while they couldn't support the product they turned it over to open source to still allow people to get the benefit of the product. As a wedding photographer I need to review and edit between 75000 images every year, hence the importance to use custom shortcuts in LR. The bad news, however, was mitigated today, as VSCO has decided against sending its digital efforts through to some silicon wasteland and instead are making VSCO Keys free, as an open source offering. If anyone has El Capitan installed let me know if Keys still works. I've been using VSCO Keys for years now to set custom shortcuts which dramatically helps speeding up my editing flow. I'm wondering the same thing about VSCO Keys.
